MyMortgageinSpain.com was set up by Neil Hathaway in January 2008, having worked in the Spanish Mortgage Market since 2004 when he first came to live in Spain. With over 20 years experience in Financial Services, Neil has attained a number of relevant qualifications. These include the Chartered Insurance Institute Financial Planning Certificates 1,2 & 3 along with CEMAP, the mortgage qualification required to demonstrate knowledge of the UK mortgage market.

Through forging relationships with a number of Spanish Banks, the aim of the website is not only to introduce clients to a suitable Bank for their needs, but most importantly, to help them in making a decision as to whether they feel comfortable in taking a Spanish Mortgage. Once a decision has been reached, Neil will be involved through the whole process to ensure that the completion of the mortgage is as smooth as possible.

We have an association with Amber Wealthcreation Ltd, an Independent Financial Advisor firm based in Oxfordshire. With the support of the team there, our clients can obtain access to the UK mortgage market should they wish to raise capital on their UK property to provide the deposit for their Spanish purchase. Additionally, Amber Wealthcreation can provide our clients with advice on UK pensions, investments, trusts, life and critical illness insurances should they wish to discuss these areas.

We do not deal with the whole Spanish mortgage market but with a panel of Banks who offer varying different products to suit the needs of our clients.
